Twinings Cold Infuse – getting me through this heatwave

Cold tea, the one thing we all dread. We are all victim of forgetting you have made that lovely cup of hot steaming tea. Only to find it an hour or two later and downing it anyways so to not waste it! But what if I told you that Twinings have created a range of teas that are supposed to be drunk cold? You’d have thought I have gone mad right? Well, that’s what I thought when I saw them looking proud on the shelves in Sainsbury’s.

Cold Infuse

So you might be wondering what the hell I am talking about but I assure you I haven’t gone crazy just yet! Twinings have created a range of teabags that brew in cold water! and not only are they for use in cold water they are specifically for use in a water bottle!

Starter Kit

The starter kit was on offer in Sainsbury’s so I thought I would give it a go! The starter kit contains a reusable water bottle and three teabags. The three tea bags included were in the flavours, Watermelon, Strawberry and Mint, Passionfruit, Mango and Blood Orange, and Blueberry, Apple and Blackcurrant.

My Thoughts

I am now slightly obsessed with carrying my bottle of fruit tea around with me! The teas do taste far better when using chilled water as opposed to just cold water straight from the tap. Out of the three flavours included in the starter kit the blueberry, apple and blackcurrant was my favourite! That may be because I am just enjoying anything blackcurrant flavoured at the moment but it will be one I will repurchase! I think I will like the passionfruit one better when I try it with chilled water. Unfortunately, the watermelon one wasn’t for me. I’m not a supermassive fan of watermelon and it definitely the stronger flavour in that infusion.

Other Flavours

Obviously, there are more flavours available in this range! So far I have only seen the full range in the bigger Sainsbury’s down the road from my house. The other flavours are as follows; Rose Lemonade, Lemon, Orange and Ginger, Coconut, Pineapple and Green Tea. These flavours along with the ones included in the starter kit come in packs of 12 for £3.79 (prices vary by retailer). I can’t wait to try the rest of the flavours and I will definitely be reporting back to you!

Have you tried the cold infuse teas yet? What did you think of them? Let me know in the comments!
