Moana of Polywax Potions

Moana of Polywax Potions

Moana was the fists Disney film I became obsessed with in for as long as I can remember, so when I saw that the lovely Hayley at Polywax Potions had created a candle for this film I just knew I had to get it! In fact, I am pretty sure I was the first person to buy it when she put it up on her Etsy shop!

Now I had been following Polywax Potions on Instagram for a while, admiring the gorgeous candles she creates. All of Hayley’s candles are made in small batches but she does try and restock as often as she can between having a normal day to day job. All of Hayley’s candles are inspired by books and films that she herself love!

On this occasion, I actually bought two candles! The other one was Harry Potter inspired but I very much doubt I will ever allow myself to burn it!

Now it is a well-known fact that I fall in love with candles often but this one really is on another level! First off let’s talk about the colour, that blue! This a wild guess but I imagine it was inspired by the ocean, the ocean that called Moana’s name. I love it! It isn’t an in your face blue but at the same time, it isn’t quite pastel blue.

GLITTER!!! That’s right this candle was topped with a ton of glitter! I love a glittery candle! I’m one of those people who will happily sit there and watch the glitter move with the flame. There is something calming about it! This candle had two types of glitter. Larger gold glitter and the superfine blue and gold glitter. This glitter just reminds you how magical Disney is as well as making this candle look extra gorgeous!

I guess I probably should talk about the scent…We all get that it was a feast for the eyes but what about my nose? This was one of the first real summery candles I have burnt this year and it didn’t disappoint. This candle is a gorgeous Pineapple and Kiwi scent! Not only were these my favourite fruits as a kid (I really should go and buy some kiwis soon…) they smell bloody awesome together! Every time I reentered the room I would get a slightly different scent, sometimes being more pineapple, sometimes being more kiwi and sometimes and blend of the both!

Over all I have thoroughly fallen in love with Polywax Potions creations! Hayley is incredibly talented and I can’t wait to see what else she comes up with in the future!
