No, before you ask this is not a post all about how I love Taylor Swift! It is, in fact, a post all about my 22nd Birthday! That’s right I am now 22!!! My Birthday itself was on the 18th of April (mark your calendars for next year now!). I chose to work so that I wouldn’t be spending the day itself on my own. Of course, as luck would have it, it was a beautiful day of summer-like temperatures and glorious sunshine so the shop was rather empty!
My best friend Cameron treated me to a Birthday TGI’s and luckily we got out of there without having the staff clap and sing to me! As always we ordered our favourite meals! Starting off with the Boneless Wings to share! We also got the Lightly Spiced Shrimp as Cameron had a voucher. The shrimp have now become a serious favourite of mine! I then had the Chicken Finger BLT with no cheese and Cameron ordered the Chicken Fingers with a side of Onion Rings.
We then headed back to mine and somehow wound up watching Monty Python! I had never really seen any Monty Python films or anything before and it was well…interesting? Cameron, however, was giggling his ass off! Seeing him laugh and smile so much put a smile on my face!
After Cameron left I had, well I had the worlds biggest anxiety attack. Darn brain!
Fast forward to Saturday and I’m jumping on a train to one of my favourite cities! Bristol, the home of the quirky! Cameron had gone back home to Newport for a couple of days, so I met him at Cabot Circus. Once again we ended up at TGI’s (the refillable drinks won it for us!). Now I was bloody amazed at the service I received at this TGI’s. So if you have visited this restaurant in particular recently you will know what I am talking about!
As I mentioned a second ago it was the refillable drinks that swayed us with our lunchtime choice. You didn’t even have the chance to think oh my drink is empty before a fresh on appeared in front of you! They even replaced the drinks as you were finishing them! This service really blew me away, and we lost track of how many drinks we actually ended up having!
Foodwise, we again had the same starters as Wednesday and Cameron had the same main. Cameron had another voucher, this time for a free cheeseburger! Always being the type to look for bargains I went for this as my main! They were also super cool and let me have it with no cheese!
This overall fantastic service meant I left our lovely waiter a tip (only the second tip I had ever left someone in my life!!!). So if you are ever in Cabots, struggling to figure out what to eat make sure you head to TGI Fridays!
After filling ourselves up with all of that yummy food we headed to the shops! This day out was, of course, my long-awaited Harry Potter shopping trip! If you want to know what I bought, make sure you read my haul post (coming very soon).
